JAGUAR LAND ROVER NAMED AS PRESENTING PARTNER FOR THE 2016 INVICTUS GAMES

The organisers of the 2016 Invictus Games have announced that Jaguar Land Rover will be the presenting partner for the world’s largest international adaptive sporting event. The 2016 Invictus Games will be held in Orlando, Florida from May 8th-12th and will host 500 military athletes from 15 nations.

British Ambassador, Sir Peter Westmacott hosted HRH Prince Harry, Ken Fisher, Chairman and CEO of Military Adaptive Sports Inc and Jaguar Land Rover representatives to celebrate the continued support of the games.

Jaguar Land Rover was the Presenting Partner of the inaugural Invictus Games, held to wide acclaim in London 2014. In addition to providing financial backing for the Games, Jaguar Land Rover is also committed to helping former military service members transition into civilian careers, as well as providing work placement rehabilitation programs for injured service members. With their pledge to once again support the Invictus Games by being the Presenting Partner for the Invictus Games Orlando 2016, Jaguar Land Rover demonstrates a commitment to service members and veterans from all participating nations and the lasting legacy of the Invictus Games.

"Jaguar Land Rover is immensely proud to be the Presenting Partner of the 2016 Invictus Games here in the United States,” said Joe Eberhardt, President & CEO, Jaguar Land Rover, North America. “We strongly believe that there is a close alignment between our company’s values and the passionate, unstoppable, determination of armed forces veterans. Our goal, in partnership with the Invictus Organization, is to continue to inspire and encourage injured and wounded military personnel."

Throughout the games 500 competitors from 15 nations will compete in 10 sports including, archery, cycling, swimming and wheelchair rugby.
